World Cancer Day is not only about awareness of the disease, but also about expanding our understanding of healing. While modern medicine plays a vital and irreplaceable role in treatment, true recovery often asks for something more—purity in what we eat and peace in what we think.
During illness, the body becomes deeply sensitive. What we feed it, and how we speak to it through our thoughts, can either support recovery or add to the burden it carries.
When the body is fighting disease or recovering from treatment, it needs clean, nourishing fuel. Chemical-laden, pesticide-heavy food adds stress to an already overworked system.
Organic, chemical-free food:
This belief led me to found Beautiful Minds, through which we support organic farmers and provide home delivery of organic fruits, vegetables, and groceries to households in Pune. Eating clean is not a luxury—it is an act of self-respect, especially during illness.
While nutrition supports the body, thoughts shape the internal environment in which healing happens.
Most of us are unaware that emotional stress, unresolved grief, fear, guilt, or long-held resentment can manifest in the body as disease. This understanding is beautifully explained by the late Louise Hay, whose philosophy states that “All diseases are self-created”—not as blame, but as awareness.
According to her work, illness is often a signal from the body asking us to look deeper:
When we begin to gently release these emotional patterns, healing can unfold—sometimes in surprising ways.
Metaphysical healing does not reject medical science. Instead, it works alongside it, helping individuals heal faster and more holistically.
Through practices such as:
The mind shifts from fear to trust, from resistance to acceptance. When the mind relaxes, the body responds.
As an internationally certified Heal Your Life Coach, I have witnessed how changing thought patterns can bring profound emotional relief and renewed strength—even during serious health challenges.
My belief in this philosophy comes not just from learning, but from lived experience.
After losing my mother to cancer in 2016, I went through deep depression and related health issues. Medication alone was not enough. It was only when I discovered Louise Hay's book "You Can Heal Your Life" and began practising affirmations for good health that something shifted.
Slowly, my thoughts changed, my emotions softened and my body responded.
Today, I am healed, whole, and complete—mentally, emotionally, and physically. At 55, I play competitive basketball, living proof that the body has an incredible capacity to heal when supported with love, awareness, and right nourishment.
Healing is not always instant, and it is not linear. But when we combine:
We create the strongest possible foundation for recovery.
This World Cancer Day, let us widen the conversation. Let us speak not only about survival, but about quality of life, emotional wellbeing, and conscious living.
If this resonates with you, let's begin the journey towards conscious living and holistic healing—together.
